George Foreman Evolve Grill-best kitchen item I own

So when we first moved into the RV I was visiting a friends RV and they had one of the new George Foreman Grills. I had an old one years ago and found I just didn’t use it much. I realized that having the grill might be a good plan so I went out and found the new George Foreman Evolve Grill. The thing that drew me to it was you can have the grill plates for meats and veggies but it also has a set of waffle plates to make waffles on. We are waffle eaters so it was a great plan since the extra plates are much lighter (if not actually smaller) than the waffle iron we planned to bring. After bringing it home I learned there were other plates available. Well I just received the Omelet plates in the mail this week and tried them this morning. If you like traditional folded omelets this is not the pan for you. If you do not mind a more frittata like omelet this is a fantastic idea. We made an omelet stuffed with spinach, red bell pepper, feta cheese, and Bill’s had some olive, add a couple eggs and close the lid. Go about your business for about 4 mins and then you have breakfast. We are horrible about remembering to turn on the propane tank when we park and on rainy or cold mornings after we first move we frequently will just throw in the towel on going out to turn it on to make a warm breakfast. This is a great little tool and I look forward to experimenting with it to find all it’s hidden gems.

One website I read had someone using it for everything from stuffed pancakes to meat pies. I can’t wait to see what else I can cook in it. Yum!

  1. It’s not easy to convince Forry he needs to get the barbecue out, so the Foreman grill is my lifesaver. (Hmm, I wonder if maybe he’d be more willing to barbecue if I didn’t have the grill…) The other day I was using it to toast buttered buns to use with pulled pork — worked great!
